In addition to a civil and commercial litigation practice, Mr. Sayegh concentrates on criminal defense, with an emphasis on the defense of college students who have been charged with drunk driving or drug possession or distribution. He is committed to zealously protecting clients' rights and interests in criminal defense matters, including drug and alcohol offenses, disorderly persons offenses and serious traffic violations.
Solo Practitioner With Big Firm Experience
Prior to establishing his own law firm, lawyer James J. Sayegh served as an associate at Newark-based Sills Cummis & Gross, P.C., one of New Jersey's largest and most prestigious law firms.
Mr. Sayegh earned his undergraduate degree in political science. Having maintained a perfect cumulative GPA of 4.0 throughout all four years, Mr. Sayegh earned the honor of graduating summa cum laude and representing the College of Arts and Sciences as its Valedictorian. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mr. Sayegh was also a member and president of the Iota Rho chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) at Seton Hall University. Mr. Sayegh received his law degree from St. John's University School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.
